Mill Rythe Holiday Village Galllery

Review

Just come back yesterday, had a briiliant time, was a 60's and 70s weekend, entertainment, food and lesiure activerties all good.

We were a party of 20 people in blocks Ryde, Seaton and Solent. The standard rooms all refurbished were spotlessly clean all 5 days, warm with comfortable beds. The food as usual was amazingly good - buffet or waiter service - huge selection and the waitresses couldnt do enough for you. All staff very friendly. Had entertainment every night - operatic singer, tribute to Freddie Mercury, magician & illusionist and a very funny comedian. Every night also had entertainment from the entertainment team - the last night the tribute to Abba was 5* and it was their first performance doing it. We went on local buses to Havant, Chichester and Portsmouth where we visited the Mary Rose which is really worth seeing. We are arranging two more breaks to Mill Rythe as everyone was so pleased with everything about it. Cannot fault anything.

All the staff warrant five stars as usual and the same can be said for the food, the speciality meal nights, Mexican, Indian Chinese and Pie left nothing to be desired.
With regards to entertainment , was as it said, a mish mash plus the usual.
We are not dancers but it was nice that there was an opportunity of 30 mins of "traditional " dancing. We can't stand bingo but it's only half an hour. The showteam were up to their exceedingly high standard and their version of "Ready Steady Go" was both brilliant and entertaining even though we had seen it before.
With four different themes on four nights it's difficult to please all the people all the time so our views are just that. Audley Anderson, Soul singer, good voice, we would have liked more sixties, Bowie Tribute, we only liked some of his stuff but others said he was good. Tom Jones Tribute, I don't like TJ but to be fair as a performer he was brilliant, Arnold Gutbucket, comedian, off the wall and different to the norm. Very clever and wished he'd carried on longer.
Our one main moan is that a fair number of people leave coats on tables in the Ballroom and go to dinner .ignoring signs not to do so as they will be removed. They were one night but if security did it the first night and carried it through it would soon stop.
Once again excellent value for money
We are now looking forward to our next visit in April .
